Once again Nicole is reminding me why she is one of my faves.

This book is slightly unhinged, and I am so here for it. I have just been reacquainting myself with some of my favourite Enguard men and boy is this is a departure from them!

Sylvie and Luca have a meet anti cute! Poor Sylvie has stumbled into something she really wants no part in. She saves a doctor (who totally doesn’t deserve it) and by doing so catches Luca’s eye. Luca is running the Rivermont arm of the family business. Yes, the family business where you swim with the fishes if you step out of line. His demons follow him around in the most unusual form! He can’t get Sylvie out of his head and then when things get a little sideways, he comes up with a way to get to know her better while trying to keep her out of harm’s way. He decides to marry her!

Luca has secrets and thinks that by playing his cards close to his chest he is going to save everyone and keep Sylvie safe. Hmmm nice thought but it’s not always the way it goes. There is not third act breakup in this book. I could not put this book down I needed to know everyone was going to get out of this. I have never been so invested in a secondary character before either, I was rooting for Bone and his little family!

I really enjoyed this book. I absolutely love how Nicole Snow puts little easter eggs of her other series into her books. Its perfection.
