Holy flipping heck this book starts off with a bang – or at least a tentacle’d beast that almost melted my tiny mind!
Finally, we get Josie’s story a holy heck it’s a steamy page turner! Seriously read everything by Dakota Forest I’m adding on the slopes to my holiday reading list and going back for seconds, they are so freaking good.
This is a second chance romance and usually it’s not one of my favorite tropes cause they have usually broken up over something stupid………Yeah this is kinda like that but it’s saved by Octavius and Josie’s actual story.
Josie Hare is Grace’s friend from Fresh Tracks they are van buddies. Josie is a free spirit and goes where the road takes her. Until she runs into mechanical problems and has to be towed to the nearest garage in Sterling Springs, her actual hometown. Josie makes money (lots of money) by being a cam girl it’s the perfect job for her she can do it from anywhere and she always makes sure to hide her face. She is now stuck in Sterling springs while she waits for new parts for her van which is getting fixed by none other than Slyvester Sterling her ex who ripped her heart out when she needed him the most. She hasn’t been back to her hometown for 10 years in fact Grace her BFF doesn’t even know that’s where she is from and that she grew up with the Sterling’s who Grace has met through her husband TJ.
Sylvester Sterling runs the garage with his dad and has regretted letting Joise go every day for 10 years. Just when he thought maybe he should go after her fate threw him a middle finger and he was in an accident where he lost the bottom part of his leg. After rehab and all the physio to even learn to walk again he figured he would just hold Josie back and turned into a hermit. He allows himself one little pleasure watching cam girl Black Sheep Bunnie. They chat and he is one of her top subs I mean it’s not like there is much to spend money on in the small town……….Ok I’m not going to spell it out for you come on we all know who Black Sheep Bunnie actually is.
So, Josie and Sly keep getting thrown together by the universe and a special sex toy called Octavius…….If you nope the whole book at least read the garage scene oh and the shower scene 🥵🥵……Slowly Josie lets her walls down and realises that home isn’t actually a place it can also be a person.
