Suspense, romance and a second chance what’s not to love about this book!

Sebastian Ashcroft (Seb) is a former SEAL and is currently living and working at Mercy River ranch. It’s just a usual day when a woman turns up barely conscious bleeding from a stab wound. She makes it out of her car and collapses. Seb is right there and recognises the woman immediately because after all how hard is it to forget your wife!

Lila is a photographer and met Seb on holiday after she got stung by a jellyfish. When he left her, he said that if she ever needed anything she would know where to find him she vowed that over her dead body would she ever need his help……well she got pretty close!

Strange things have been happening to Lila she was slapped outside the airport, had a cigarette stubbed out on her shoulder and now she has been stabbed in the middle of a National Park while taking a photography lesson. Sebs SEAL training kicks in and he decides that she will be staying with him until he has done what he does best and hunted down the person behind all this.

Lila is under the impression that their marriage was never legal, so they are married in words only but that’s not the case. So, she decides to file for divorce because it’s an easy thing to do in Wyoming. Not her best move and besides Seb has decided he wants to keep her.

Ok the suspense in this is brilliant. Elizabeth fully had me on the complete wrong path you get chapters from the POV of the Ghost and let’s just say I had all sorts of theories and none of them came close. Do not do what I did and get to the last 85% of this book just before you are supposed to be asleep so you can human the next day. Its sooo tense and you are on the edge of your seat hoping for the best. Elizabeth and written a goodie once again! I want to go back and read the whole Lodestar ranch series again cause i just love how Elizabeth writes!
