Oh yes, the third book in the Thornbrush ranch series and it’s a banger!! You don’t have to have read the whole series to get into this one, but I highly recommend it!
This book deals with domestic abuse. So, it may not be everyone’s cup of tea but its inspiring and so well written!
Sage moved to Willows 4 years ago she escaped the reservation and her abusive ex. She is opening an art gallery in town and works at the local bar.
Bull rider Christian has been in love with Sage since the moment he met her. And he likes to tell her that often. He is an adorable golden retriever of a man who would bend over backward to make Sage happy. He would also burn down the world to keep her safe.
Sage’s ex turns up in town and makes things uncomfortable for her. She thought she could leave the past in the past but now it’s on her doorstep and isn’t about to take no as an answer. One-night Christian steps in and claims Sage as his fiancée in the hopes of making the ex finally leave town. They agree to a “fake” engagement and then head to Vegas for the next leg of the rodeo. Well, you know what happens in Vegas after a few too many drinks!! These two end up married after a night on the booze. They decide to keep it on the down low until they can work out what to do.
This book had me on the edge of my seat. The suspense is AMAZING the story is freaking epic and I adored Sage and Christian. Ive read the other two books what feels like a lifetime ago and I was still able to get into what was going on. My love of cowboys has definitely not been diminished by this book. I adore June Larks writing and how the same story line a woven through all this series.
