Scarlett Collins is a famous author and has hit a serious case of writer’s block on her latest novel, so she books a cottage and decides to lock herself away to smash out her book even if it kills her! She turns up to her rented cottage a meet’s her temporary landlord Ezra Reed.
The best thing about this book is there was absolutely no messing about with do they have feelings for each other, should they act on their feelings oh no it was your gorgeous I want to get to know you better, ok same let’s see where this goes.
Soooooo GOOOD
And there was no third act breakup! This was like your very best Romcom in book form. Scarlett writes what she knows, and her last relationship broke her. It bleeds on to the pages of her best seller, and everyone tried to pull apart her personal life to work out the details. She doesn’t want this to happen again. But Ezra is not like other men, and he has had his own dance with the limelight so is totally prepared for the prying eyes.
Ezra is so unbelievably understanding and is absolutely perfect for Scarlett. Both have things from their pasts they need to work through, and they meet each other at perfectly the right time. This book is the goldilocks of spice just the right amount! I love how Scarlett finds her muse in Ezra and in a way, he finds his muse in her! His aunt Millie is such a cool old woman I would love to know more about her!
I know I’m a pusher of all Lyra’s books, but I really enjoyed this one it’s an easy read and there is no angst it’s just a perfect story of two people finally finding their other halves and being adult about it and going with it.
