This is a debut novel by Elowen and its pretty darn good! Put Sleep Token in the books play list and mention them on page and you have my soul!

Sadie is sent to a ranch after Warren (her guardian cause he doesn’t deserve to be called her father) needs to save face. Ahhhh there is so much I want to tell you about what happens, but you seriously need to read this and find out! Anyway, so Sadie is shipped off and lands at Wildflower ranch. She is from California so it’s a HUGE culture shock but the girl takes no shit and will work her ass off. Heath is the owner of the ranch, and his two sons are Wesley and Emmett who are of course hot hot cowboys. Wesley is grumpy and hot so even better.

This book is a master class in angst it takes the rules for your standard cowboy romance novel and throws them out the window. Oh, you think it’s just going to be the MMC hooks up with the FMC oh no hold onto your hats!

This book had my stomach in knots. I was half cheering for the MMC and half cringing. Sadie will also make you shake your head with some of her life choices BUT at the end of the day she is only 18 and turns 19 in the book. NO ONE has their shit together at that age and it did kind of make me remember what it was like to be that age and have a smorgasbord of choices with no thought for the future!

There is everything in this book. Girl learning who she is, Life after loss, Rodeo, Multiple hot cowboys, not letting shitty friends affect you and finally finding where you belong in the world! This is s l o w burn so so slow, and you think oh dude you blew it but then in the last second it all turns out for a HEA
