This book was just what I needed! It’s so well done and was so good to go back to Bluestone Lakes!

Tucker is the comedian of the friend group always ready with a laugh and works two jobs, so he is never not on the go. He spends a night with sunshine personified Scottie but leaves because he doesn’t believe he deserves good things.

Scottie is in San Fran for the night for her interview for reality show Nailed it. She goes to a bar to treat herself to a burger and meets Tucker, they hit it off and spend the night together. But the next morning there is no sign of Tucker. When she gets the gig, she needs a house to renovate, and her parents only just tell her that her grandma passed away when she was 13 and her house in Bluestone lakes has been empty ever since! Making it the perfect do up! Scottie moves to Bluestone and Nan the town legend hooks her up with a place to stay. Then she meets the head contractor and her new landlord!!!

Scottie may be sunshine personified but man oh man is her mum a piece of work! these two are absolutely perfect for each other they meet each other exactly where they need to be and don’t try to change each other. Tucker knows when Scottie is trying to fake it and when he finally lets down his walls man oh man, I was almost in tears! It’s so refreshing to have a MMC that isn’t perfect and has his shit all together Tucker is dealing with some dark things in his past and then learns to actually let others in and lighten the load.
