I was a bit hesitant to apply for the ARC of this one cause I couldn’t figure out what was missing from Plunged. But I’m glad I took a chance on this one!

So, the story Sarah’s marriage has just ended, and she needs a new start. She decides to apply for a job in Quince Valley and as soon as she turns up in town for her interview she knows she has made the right decision cause the whole town just feels perfect. The night before her interview the town is having a viewing party for a meteor shower and she always loved watching the stars with her dad. So, she goes along with her friend Ellie, and they end up sitting near a gorgeous older man who Sarah hits it off with. They don’t give each other their names and have a magical night under the starts.

The next morning Jamie is at work trying to forget the amazing women he wishes he had more time with but needing to concentrate because he is interviewing for a project manager for his construction company so his son can move to New York, He is in the office in a horrible mood cause one he is too old for the beautiful woman he met last night and two he has been so badly hurt in the past. Then he goes out to meet the first interview of the day……………

Yup its Sarah! and she has found a dog! Ok read it it’s a mad scene and cracked me up! Jamie and Sarah wind up working together……You find out more about each of their pasts and can see why Jamie is so reluctant to get into a relationship with a) his employee b) someone who is much younger than him.

It also shines a light on women in business especially women in a male dominated work field. Where you get talked to like you’re an idiot just because you’re not part of the boy’s club. I also used to work in construction and have been known to tell men that I’ll find them someone with a dick to answer their question when they assume because I’m a female I have nothing between my ears!
