Oh, I have been hanging out for this one and managed to get it in both e-book and audio! I had high hopes for this making it easier to read and listen while I was working, forgetting that I don’t retain anything when it comes to audio books, so I had to give up and just read.
Holy book boyfriends Sutton is HOT and has no idea what he has done to make Kelsey dislike him so much. The spent an amazing night together 2 years ago and then Kelsy ghosted him and refused to even acknowledge him. There are flashbacks throughout the book so you can understand what’s happened.
Sutton is the perfect golden retriever, he is patient, will do anything for his family and has a bit a hero complex so needs to save the day. He has tattoos (yum) and wears hoochie shorts. He works so hard to get Kelsey to open up to him and trust him. He definitely falls first.
Kelsey on the other hand is a total black cat and is soooooo annoying! I get that she is a strong independent woman in the big bad world, but I spent most of this book wishing she would get out of her own way. When you find out the reason, she ghosted the most perfect guy in the land you will roll your eyes so hard (or maybe that’s just me and my little black heart). Also, when things go really sideways in Suttons world, she kinda makes it all about her and her issues when he really needed someone to be his hero.
There are the 3 Sterling brothers and 1 sister, and you can kinda work out the pairings for the next two books at least. I really hope I’m right cause I think Sly’s book will be a heart breaker!
