I don’t even know where to begin with this one! I adored this book! It’s so different from the usual smutty little books that I read and I’m a living for it!

So, what makes this so different but yet so good. Its age gap but it’s the older woman and the younger man and entering my feral 40s I need this sort of inspo! Also, it’s refreshing to have an FMC who has her shit together and knows where she is going in life.

Ok so when we meet Quinn, she is in the process of finalising her divorce to her cheating husband who has managed to hide his money making it look like Quinn is the one with all the assets that he of course needs to have his greedy little hands on. The jewellery business that Quinn started that he used to call her little hobby is now bankrolling his new life with his assistant who he got caught playing hide the sausage with! And Quinn will be stuck paying alimony for the next 5 years! Quinn is starting her new life in the Hamptons with a new house with an onsite studio.

She is spending one more night in the house she loved before she has to hand it over to her ex when there is a break in while she is there and all his watches get stolen which is kinda weird to have all your watch collection in your summer house?!?!

Milo is a thief he is good at breaking into houses and not getting caught until he breaks into to his latest target and disturbs a woman while she is sleeping. Their intel must have been wrong because they knew that the man who lives at the house and his girlfriend would be out of town for the night, so who is this woman and what the heck. He takes all the watches in the safe and gets the hell out of dodge. He has also just landed a plum gig as a tennis coach for the summer at the local club so he can scope out the targets and line up his crew’s next heist

He is scheduled to teach a tennis lesson when the woman he disturbed in the robbery turns up as his student. He freaks out and hopes she doesn’t recognise him then he realises just what it is she does for a job. A jeweller and a thief this shouldn’t be a match made in heaven, but it just might be some fun for the summer!

Milo gets closer to Quinn and starts to have real feelings for her. But there is the little problem of just what it is that he does for a living. I loved how this came out but also ended up working in Quinn’s favour. This story is so well written, and it highlights once again the double standards of how when a man is with a younger woman, he’s a legend when it’s the other way around its seen as taboo and it shouldn’t be like that!

Milo despite being an actual con man is such a good guy, and he loves Quinn no matter what. I also loved that they discussed not having children and Quinn wasn’t pushed into the little box of must have a husband and children to be a perfect woman! I am definitely going to keep an eye on what Cathryn writes next because I thoroughly enjoyed this book!
