Sweet baby cheeses! This book tested the limits of my Smut poker face! Ok so I probably shouldn’t have been reading it in the lunchroom surrounded by my much older work mates but be warned! This book is HOT HOT HOT!
This is set back in Corvus College, so I’m immediately drawn to the gorgeous gothicness (yes, I made this word up) think old building dripping in history and secrets, Gothic architecture and Ravens so many Ravens my little black heart is skipping around like its Halloween. Oh, and add in the most spectacular secret society the Crimson Veil……..Squeeeeeeee
Ok so the story Mia is a certified hottie and is in love with two boys. She is currently with Leo (Leopold) who is Corvus royalty and is a square peg being hammered into a round hole by the weight of his dad’s expectations. She used to date Parker who is adopted and is at the school to maybe find out more about his past he isn’t too fussed, but he is in total and absolute love with Mia and will go to the end of the world for her…….He also thinks things about Leo that he knows he shouldn’t.
Leo and Parker are thrown together for a series of challenges for the Crimson Veil they are both being initiated and have to go through different stages. Leo is struggling because his dad wants him to do it his way but is his way actually the correct one. Both these boys would burn the world down for Mia and they start thinking maybe they would burn the world down for each other as well.
When these three finally get together HOLY SHIT its hot. This book should come with a smut warning. I swear when I think I have read it all Jenn goes hold my beer and takes it up another level! Of course, this is Jenn, so the threesome is one of the classiest ever written. And the ending of this book is perfect! I may have shed a tear! There is a shout out to Aspen Ridge which reminds me I think I’m going to make some time to revisit Aspen Ridge in the near future cause those books are top shelf!
Do yourself a favour read this. You don’t have to have read Nothing to Fear to enjoy this book as they kinda overlap anyway.
