So, this is based in a small town Outtatowner and follows the King Family 4 brothers and 1 sister there is a mystery woven through this series as well which is always a bonus and because it’s a small town there is a rivalry with the Sullivan family to contend with.
Here’s a quick run-down on the stories to convince you to add them to your TBR!
Just this Once – Whip (William) & Emily
This book still lives rent free in my head and I re-read it in January! Whip is a pierced firefighter (hmmmmm) and is up for a promotion. He has a one-night stand with Emily and then realises she is his bosses stepdaughter. We find out what a delight his dad is and the mystery for the series is set up.
Just my Luck – Abel & Sloane
Warning! The hay fever is strong in this book! Abel is an ex-felon and wants to get a loan to expand his business. Sloane is a single mum of twins and overhears her boss Abel getting turned down for a loan, so comes up with a fake marriage to help him secure the loan. This book will make you despise the Kings father (he doesn’t deserve to be named!)
Just between us – Royal & Veda
This book is spicy hot. Royal runs the local tattoo parlour (yum tattooed hot man), and Veda has been hired by JP to discreetly sort out their fathers’ businesses and uncovers all sorts of dodginess. She meets Royal on an only fans type of page, and they start chatting then she works out who he is IRL! She is the prickly black cat type and Royal is a jokester golden retriever
Just like that – JP & Hazel
Hazel comes to town with her sister’s son Teddy. She has just taken custody of him after her sister passes away and she thinks JP is the father. JP has no memory of even meeting Hazel’s sister and is trying to do the right thing. He is the loaded brother and is worried that he is being taken advantage of. But Teddy is super smart (think Sheldon from BBT) and does resemble JP. The twist in this one will knock your socks off!
Just Say Yes – MJ (Julep) & Logan
MJ works at the rest home that Logans grandfather lives in. Their meet cute is one of the best I’ve read. Logan is an Olympic gold medal Rugby player who at 35 is wondering what next for his career. He is best friends with MJ’s ex who took her virginity and then ghosted her! Logan doesn’t know how awful his friend actually is. This is the perfect conclusion to this series.
