A Fate Found in Clues – Kelli Cooke

If hot chocolate, hugs and a fluffy blanket came in book form it would be this one! This book was a much-needed break from the cluster fuck of the world right now! I adored it and Kelli Cooke intended it to be just like this! Its magical and mystical zero angst and a perfect lay in bed read.

Sadie works for a Hockey team and is sent on a leave of absence when her boss catches her having a panic attack. He wants her to realise there is more to life than work. For someone who’s whole world is work this is a big ask and she feels like she has failed so she goes home to Mage Hollow to lick her wounds and work!

Max is a hockey player, but too many concussions have him unable to play the game he loves more than anything. He needs to come up with a new plan and accepts a job across the country as Equipment Manager so has the summer to sort out everything and move.

Sadie comes back to town and her family friend Beth gifts her a half finished puzzle book. Sadie loves crosswords so can’t work out why she needs a half-finished book of them and tries to get rid of it in some very unique ways, but it always seems to come back especially when Max is around. Max convinces Sadie that she needs some adventures and helps her relax a little bit and enjoy life. They decide to take the summer to just explore life.

Every single character in this book I want to be my friend! I loved the story Max and Sadie are super cute and he had a crush on her when she was his tutor. Sadie’s ADHD wasn’t made a big deal of, and it explained so much about her chaotic tendencies but both characters where written so well you couldn’t help but fall in love with their story and root for them so hard!
