Lena is a vet tech and loves her job. Unfortunately, her boss is having a hard time and is looking to sell the clinic. A clinic which sits on prime Seattle real estate and the main interested party is none other than Lena’s dodgy ex.

Brady is a dog loving Billionaire whose life is plastered all over social media. His parents want him to sort out his playboy reputation that has plagued him. Doesn’t matter that he has changed his ways. His reputation has stuck. They want him to marry a vapid gold digger who cares only about herself and her appearance.

Brady finds a Corgi and takes it to the nearest vet clinic to get checked over and to see if there is a microchip. He is unfortunately out with the delightful gold digger at the time. Lena helps find the owner of the lost dog, but their kennels are full, so they have nowhere for the dog to stay for the night. Brady offers to take him and return in the morning. He also wants to get to know Lena.

Lena has been burnt by rich boys before and has walls miles high up when it comes to Brady, she assumes everything she has seen on social media is gospel, so he is just another shallow party boy (which is odd considering her past). Brady decides that by having a “fake” engagement with Lena he can get his parents off his back and save Lena’s clinic all in one transaction. Lena reluctantly agrees with the plan and the wheels are in motion for Lena to get her clinic.

However the dodgy ex gets up to dodgy things and makes Lena’s life hard, he also goes after her reputation (again) with revenge porn, and this is where things get interesting. Brady is having none of that and takes down dodgy ex and exposes him for the asshole he is. And of course, the fake marriage becomes real. The star of this book is Gran I adore her! I wish I had a cool old lady to tell me to pull my head out of my ass at times!
