Go back to the Hells Heathens MC with this stunner of a book. This time we get Sins (Rhys Hudson) story and how he falls for his queen Bristol.
Again, I am struggling to get the words to work to describe how this book made me feel. This story hit close to home for me.
Bristol is engaged to marry Blake and absolute asshole of a guy! He is busy maintaining his perfect image and completely obsessed with his work. He is emotionally abusive to Bristol and makes her feel like shit. He also likes to remind her that she belongs to him and that she will be quitting her dream job as a Vet soon to be the perfect housewife and pop out some kids.
Jenn writes this relationship perfectly it’s not always so black and white to leave someone who is emotionally manipulative and controlling. Most of the time you don’t realise how controlling someone truly is until you are free of them. And Blake makes threats that make Bristol worry about just what he is capable of.
Rhys (Sin, Mr Bun-buns dad) is the VP of the Hells Heathens he is a bad mofo and has more than earnt his road name. But he has a super soft side and loves animals because unlike people they aren’t usually assholes. He volunteers at the local animal shelter and goes to the next town over to get some dogs checked and runs into Bristol. He is instantly in love with the stunning Vet and goes back to volunteer and get to know her more. He is devastated when he finds out she is engaged but figures he would rather be her friend than not have her in his life at all.
Blake is mixed up with some dodgy shit and gets more and more unhinged around Bristol she makes her escape and goes to the one person who makes her feels safe Rhys.
I adored these two you could tell from the very start they were meant for each other. I wanted to see how these two would get together and was hoping that Bristol would get rid of the douche and make the right choice. Rhys needs someone to balance the heathen with the normal human and Bristol is just the right person for the job.
