YEAH!!! Back to Fruit Street I am so excited for this book. I held out reading it cause I knew I was off to Fiji for the week, and it would be the perfect poolside read. And it was!!

Jen is the absolute queen of age gap romances, and I love how this one fit right in the forbidden-on fruit street universe. Iris (also love all the FMCs are named after flowers) flunks out of college and is forced to go work with her asshole of a father. She is trying so hard to fit in in a world where she feels like she is missing something. Things that come easy to everyone else seem so hard to her. She goes to bar after everything goes tits up and meets a handsome stranger who actually listens to her and takes her mind off her problems for a while.

Adian is an Architect who is gunning for a partner role and has devoted his whole life to doing well at work at the sacrifice of a personal life. His sister jokes that her is married to his work and he has to agree. While he is looking for a new assistant he takes himself to a bar one day for lunch and meets the first woman to attract his attention in a while but he never got her name and doesn’t hold much hope of seeing her again until his boss announces that he has found him a new assistant in the form of his daughter Iris!

Adian and Iris start to work together, and Iris is a train wreck when it comes to being and assistant, she was at college studying architecture. Adian thinks she is just a spoilt brat who is getting by on daddy’s help. Until his sister is diagnosed with ADHD and learns more about it and starts to notice how Iris has some of the same traits. Iris’s dad is the absolute worst he thinks she is a waste of space and is so mean to her. He uses the partnership as a carrot on a stick to keep Adian small and makes him take on random jobs. What he doesn’t realise is that Iris is actually a secret weapon. When Adian’s rose coloured glasses come off he realises his mentor has always been a massive dick.

The daddy kink in this book is SOOOOOOO GOOD. I was lucky there was a pool nearby so I could cool off in the steamy scenes. In fact, this age gap is sinfully delicious, and it was so good seeing the other girls and their partners and how they helped Iris realise that dating an older man isn’t as rare as she thought. Also, Tash need her own age gap cause she was so sweet to Iris!
