Wrapped 2025

Wrapped 2025

I wish there was a wrapped for books. A summary of everything you have read and how it made you feel! Humble brag at the time of writing I have managed to read 235 books this year.

Reading has been my escape this year. I sort of lost myself for a bit and was manging to pretend to be a functioning human but in reality, I some days I was anything but! Books have always been my go-to. I always want to believe everyone deserves a happy ending and smut books always provide that……..well mostly!

So, what have I truly loved this year and what has made me so angry I want to scream into the abyss. Stay tuned!

I actually used my diary to write down a little blurb on every single book I read this year. Some are ramblings about how amazing a book is some are one liners this is shit don’t bother.

Amy McGavin, Lyra Parish, Jenn Plummer, Lena Hendrix, Ann Einerson, Elizabeth Bright, Maggie Rawdon & D.E Haggerty feature heavily this year. I was VERY into cowboys of all shapes and sizes but the grumpier the better. And as always, a grumpy boss/lumberjack/ mechanic or Fire fighter and I was adding to my TBR. I tried to read Xmas books I failed I still despise this bullshit holiday. But OMG Fall I want by Lyra Parish was the icing on my Halloween haul! In fact, if you read this on the reg you know Lyra Parish is one of my top authors.

There is a certain popular dragon book that came out this year that I was waiting for with bated breath so much so that I took the day off to read the 700+ paged monster and promptly fell out of love with the whole series. There will be no more of those dragons in my future!

I’m also looking to the annual re-read of 2026 that’s when kindle restarts its counting, I read my absolute fave books to set me up for the year. I think this year I need to re-read the Love in the city series by Jen Morrison (she is a kiwi author and can write an age gap like fine wine). It’s a marathon but I want to re-visit The Men series by Elle Nicoll (this is a 10-book series, and I have to stop just reading Time with Mr Silver!) and like most years ill read By a Thread and Mr Fixer Upper both by Lucy Score.

I’m also looking forward to reading the new books coming out next year. Nicole Snow has just dropped The Right Wrong Promise, Oliva Hayle is bringing The Marriage Bet, Alls fair in love an Sin by Jenn Plummer is out in March, Built for Love by Amy McGavin is out in Jan and I have my fingers crossed I make the ARC team for Daisy Wrens Love Under the Hood which I should be hearing about any day!

So, here’s to another year of smutty goodness! I hope you all have a sinfully good holiday season and let’s spread those pages in 2026 x
