Books of Tash

Just when I thought I was over my unhealthy addiction to hot cowboys this little gem turns up in my inbox!

Holy pierced cowboy this is fantastic. Its book 2 in the Thornbush ranch series and I dove into it without having read the first book or knowing anything about June Lark and I loved every second of it! The smut in this book is smutting. This book is actually fantastic!

Lina is a barrel racer who is VERY secure in her sexuality and knows exactly what she wants (love this) she is at the bar after a rodeo and falls in love at first sight with a gorgeous cowboy who she demands takes her home. (this is where I’ll leave you hanging)

Reed is said gorgeous cowboy and after meeting Lina at the bar turns up on Thornbush ranch to work and save money to get custody of his daughter Penn from his druggie ex wife. (Reed is also a recovering addict).

Lina is being followed by some skeezy guy who won’t take no for an answer and Reed is tasked with following Lina on the circuit so she doesn’t get left alone. Lina is super pissed at Reed, and he is the last person she wants to be in close quarters with. Reed is trying to get Lina’s forgiveness while holding things together for the sake of his daughter.

Oh, this book was so good there is third act drama but not a breakup and Lina comes to learn what she really actually wants for her life. There is a part of a story that I’m guessing is going to be woven through all the books.

But this doesn’t take away from Lina and Reeds story. It’s not often you can read the second book in a series and not be completely lost. I am however going to go and read the first book in this series Among the Willows cause hello MMA Cowboy that’s a food group I need to explore! I also want to get to know the supporting characters a little bit better.
