The queen of delicious grumpy men is back! I adore Nicole Snow’s books I recommend everything she writes. She writes grumpy men, twisted small towns and bodyguards that will make you melt. This book I devoured in one day!

It’s your classic grandfather of the grumpy soon to be billionaire passes away and leaves a clause in the will that the Grandson in this case Ethan Blackthorn can’t inherit unless he marries Harriet (Hattie) Sage. Harriet is best friends with Margot, Ethans sister and no one can work out what gramps was thinking making these two get married for 6 months. Growing up Ethan tormented Hattie and Margot. Now they have to be husband and wife!

Harriet is a bookish nerd (oh a girl after my own heart) who works in the bookshop and has books all over her apartment. Her mother is a fitness freak who makes her feel like shit for what she eats, who she dates and how she looks. This has left Hattie with a pretty shaky self-esteem.

Ethan is tortured by his past and it kinda explains the grumpy vibe he puts off. He calls Hattie pages which I thought was cute. Ethan’s problem-solving skills involve bulldozing in and throwing money at a situation, so he gets the outcome her wants and to hell with anyone else.

This book left me on the edge of my seat Nicole Snow is freaking amazing at hitting you with the last thing you expect. And she ties up all the loose ends so perfectly well. This book kept me up at night! My just one more chapter then I’ll go to bed went out the door with this one. I really hope this is the start of another delicious series!
