Books of Tash

Picture this its a long weekend its cold and its raining and the only thing to do is curl up with a good book and escape for a while. This is the book you want to be curled up with.

Its gorgeous Nick is a firefighter (yes please) and Rachel is running her familes bakery while her parents are off on a world cruise. These two have history Nick accidentally set fire to the bakery (he was young and dumb and had fireworks) and has thought Rachel has hated him since even though he has a massive crush on her.

Rachel has always been attracted to Nick but takes a while to work it out. She came back to town to help with the families bakery and has just gotten out of a relationship where she was cheated on and the douche got the other girl pregnant.

Rachel and Nick end up spending time together after Nick is put in charge of fundraising for the fire department. Kyle the douche ex comes up with a novel way to keep tabs on Rachel and when she figures it out she enlists Nicks help to prank him.

Kyle realises that maybe the grass isnt always greener on the other side and tries to get Rachel back. Its the classic case of when the person who was cheated on finally moves on the ex suddenly realises what he is missing! That ends really badly for him.

Once Rachel gets out of her own way her and Nick hook up and its awesome! The date under the stars is worth it! There isnt a thrid act break up more like thrid act drama. Im not a massive fan of the whole mis-communication trope. But this was resolved well and the story got back on track.

This is a really sweet story with just the right amount of smut to be a beach read or as I read it curled up in a blanket on a rainy day.
