Ah Steffanie Holmes my gateway drug to smut. My friend recommended that I read dark and stormy night and blew my tiny little mind (and my ovaries)!
I adore everything Steffanie writes. Fae’s are pushing it a bit but the Nevermore Bookstore series I actually own every book because I love them so much (and the Kickstarter copies are epic). This is a paranormal romance so it’s a little different to what I usually read and post about.
Steffanie has just trad published Fangs for Nothing and it’s so good! Its set in the Nevermore bookshop. Winnie comes to town to help Alaric sort his mess out and end ups going to the Nevermore bookshop and joining the Nevermore Murder Club and Smutty Book Coven (I need one of these in my life, well the Smutty Book Coven at least. I would be useless in a murder). Alaric is actually a hot as fuck vampire (YES) and is trying to stop his mum from setting him up. So, he enlists Winnie (a human) to pretend to be his fiancée to get his mum off his back.
There is a murder mystery woven through this book that Alaric sort of fits the description of with the whole blood drinking thing he has going on. The book club think they know who did it and pin it on him. There are actually chapters from the Killer in this book! Steffanie’s writing is so amazing her descriptions are laugh out loud. You don’t have to have read the Nevermore series, but the characters do make an appearance.
Steffanie also writes Wolves of Crookshollow and The Crookshollow Gothic collection. These are shifter romances that are worth a read.
