Once again Olivia Hayle knocks it out the park! This book is fantastic, and I don’t say that lightly. Everything by Olivia Hayle is magic, and this is the first book in a new series, I am living for the next 3 books!
Its super slow burn and the chemistry is so hot it almost melted my kindle!
So, it’s the brother’s best friend trope BUT it’s so amazingly classy. West Calloway is now in my top 5 book boyfriends! He is patient and caring but also takes no prisoners. He is the heir apparent and must get married before his 30th Birthday to save the family home from his sleazy cousin. This is refreshingly not a “fake” marriage book and Oliva has done this SO WELL!
Nora Montclair is a hard-core people pleaser she is even a model because she can’t say no to her mum or her brother. She thinks she has to smile and be agreeable to everyone (come on who as a female hasn’t felt like that before) she has zero experience when it comes to dating and romance and wants to lose her v card before she turns 25.
Nora has just moved to New York to start a new career as a designer and is being stalked. To ensure her safety she moves in with West in his fortress of a family home. It’s decided that to keep the stalker at bay (and West’s mum from setting him up with every single woman in a 5-mile radius) West and Nora will pretend to date. Nora is determined to use this to her advantage and asks West to teach her “Romance and dating” West also wants to teach her that NO is a full sentence.
Like I said before this is super slow burn. The anticipation is so hot! When West finally pops her cherry it’s so well done and worth the wait.
This whole book is a masterclass on amazing smut the tropes are delicious and well executed. This is why Oliva Hayle is a must-read author of mine.
I cannot wait for Rafe’s book later this year and if my guesses are right and we get Alex and Jame’s stories as well this series is going to be one to watch.
